During the 1980’s with rose production continuing to increase, Benilda diversified into carnations, spray carnations and other products. At present Benilda has a total of 110 hectares under production

Discovery Farms is a group of 4 farms, 3 in Colombia and 1 in Ecuador. We have 6 different products in 75 hectares. Flores Tropicales was our first farm funded in 1973, growing only carnations. We have been selling flowers worldwide for 34 years, generating employment to more than 1,200 people. We represent one breeder company which reflects our pioneer mentality when it comes to new varieties. Loverose was established in Ecuador in 1985, owns three farms with 34 hectares in production under greenhouses. Loveroses.S.A is the first farm in Ecuador to achieve rainforest alliance certification. I.e. they have reduced environmental footprints, are good neighbors to human and wild communities and are often integral parts of regional conservation initiatives.

C. I. Flora Intercontinental was certified on August 1st, 2003 by SGS, an independent and internationally recognized organization, with the first FLORVERDE Seal ever awarded. Only 4 other companies were recipient of this distinction Their farms, with 30 hectares (75 acres) in production, are located in the Savannah of Bogota, where they grow about 60 varieties of roses.
FLORES CARMEL was established in 1988. The Company’s facilities are located at 2.100 meters (6.900 feet) above sea level in Rionegro, Antioquia. Although the farm originally cultivated only Chrysanthemums, today Carmel is a diversified operation growing Spray Mums and Disbuds, Gerberas, Snapdragons, Mini carnations, Kangaroo Paws and some Foliages

In 1984, La Gaitana Farms established itself as a Rose and Carnation grower. The quality of the products gave way to their expansion in the European and American markets. The company has developed a trademark with demanding customers in Holland, the U.K, Japan, Germany, Scandinavia, the United States, and Canada. The name became recognized as a product with high value and freshness. La Gaitana Farms has introduced exclusive species and varieties. Nowadays, it grows Roses, Carnations, Minicarnations, Alstroemerias, Asiatic and Oriental Lilies, Spray Roses and unique greens and fillers. loyalty

TURFLOR S.A Turflor has been growing and exporting cut flowers over 15 years. Their farms are located at the Bogota savannah where they produce top quality carnations, spray carnations and roses. Flowers by Turflor have been awarded at International Quality Competitions, among them, first prize at Hortifair, Holland during 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004.

 

47_iso.JPG LP is a company dedicated to grow and export fillers from Colombia. They began operations in 1985 growing only Gypsophilia. They are now growing different types of flowers such as Alstroemeria, Limonium, Aster, Statice, Gerberas, Solidago, Astilbe, Eryngium, Snapdragon, Delphinium and Stock. They have three farms strategically located in the outskirts of Bogotá at an altitude of 2600 m above sea level. A fourth farm is located in a warm climate zone.
